CHENGDU Marlins Martin Prado Jersey , Jan. 25 (Xinhua) -- The government of Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture in Sichuan Province signed a strategic cooperation agreement Wednesday with Chinese e-commerce giants, including JD and Alibaba's Tmall.

According to the agreement, the e-commerce companies will strengthen logistics services in the prefecture's villages, help local companies open online stores and expand the sales market for Ganzi's distinctive agricultural products.

"Through cooperation with these e-commerce companies, we can expand the market for local companies and increase incomes of poor farmers," said Xiao Youcai, the prefecture's government chief.

China has seen a boom in e-commerce in rural areas in recent years as the rural population increasingly went online for business and shopping.

According to Wang Huadong, a business promotion official in Ganzi, the e-commerce transaction volume in the prefecture surpassed 1.8 billion yuan (around 300 million U.S. dollars) last year, up 109 percent year on year.

With a permanent population of around 1.2 million in 2016, Ganzi is home to 25 ethnic groups, including Tibetan, Han, Hui and Yi. More than 81 percent of residents are Tibetans.

Due to harsh natural conditions and poor transportation, the prefecture still produces its original green agricultural products but has faced challenges in selling them.

"With more online business, I believe that our high-quality products can go elsewhere, and more local residents can cast off poverty," said Yelin Lhadron, who is in charge of a brand promotion company in Ganzi.

WASHINGTON, Jan. 24 (Xinhua) -- The risk of a heart attack may be increased six-fold within the first week after detection of laboratory-confirmed influenza infection, a new study said Wednesday.

Researchers in Canada looked at nearly 20,000 Ontario adult cases of laboratory-confirmed influenza infection from 2009 to 2014 and identified 332 patients who were hospitalized for a heart attack within one year of flu diagnosis.

They found a significant association between acute respiratory infections, particularly flu, and acute myocardial infarction, according to the study published in the New England Journal of Medicine.

The risk may be higher for older adults, patients with influenza B infections, and patients experiencing their first heart attack.

The researchers also found elevated risk, albeit not as high as for flu, with infection from other respiratory viruses.

"Our findings are important because an association between influenza and acute myocardial infarction reinforces the importance of vaccination," said lead author Jeff Kwong, a scientist at the Institute for Clinical Evaluative Sciences (ICES) and Public Health Ontario (PHO).

"People at risk of heart disease should take precautions to prevent respiratory infections, and especially influenza, through measures including vaccinations and handwashing," said Kwong.

The researchers added that patients should not delay medical evaluation for heart symptoms particularly within the first week of an acute respiratory infection.

Everyone loves their music and it often defines the individual. Different sounds of music can alter your mood, from getting you hyped up, to helping you clear the mind, relax and much more. Love of music is something that most of us have in common. People always wanted the ability to take their favorite songs with them wherever they went. The last few years have seen great advancements in technology which made all these dreams into realities. The Walkman gadget make it possible to take a few songs and load them on the cassette but the user was limited to the most favorite songs. This was the first step. With the introduction of the CD player, the music quality improved substantially from the cassette, but the mobile concept remained the same. The user could take a few of their favorite tracks with them but still something was missing.

The introduction of the MP3 music player to the market and the ability to store songs on the hard drive made it possible to take thousands of songs and entire libraries with the individual wherever they wanted to go. The issue with the first line of these devices is that they were not pretty to look at or easy to manage the libraries and organize the music. This is when Apple stepped in and introduced a new and revolutionary gadget, the “iPod”. It changed everything again.

This was a win for all music lovers, and made it easy to upload and manage their vast music libraries on one gadget. They could organize playlists but things such as genre, artist, or other custom tastes. It is no surprise that it is now one of the most popular devices in the world. Furthermore, Apple made this device elegant, compact, easy to use and with a long battery life of almost a full day.

Due to the popularity of this great gadget a problem has risen, including consumer e-wast and the issue of what to do with these devices when they become dammaged. A new version of these popular iPod devices comes out every year, making older versions obsolete when their support is cut off. Most iPod users have few options when their beloved iPod stops working. The old thinking was that there is not much that can be done once these gadgets break and you can forget about trying to fix them. Most of the time you would have to purchase a new device and this is exactly what these manufacturers counted on.

Residents in the Greater Cincinnati area, specifically, had zero options when it came to getting their iPod repaired. Up to this point, most of them were forced to buy a new gadget when the old one got damaged. All of this has changed. Now iPod users have several options when it comes to getting their iPods fixed.

Right now, there are several local repair stores that off.
