GUANGZHOU Women's Nike Air VaporMax Moc 2 Gold Black , Sept. 21 (Xinhua) -- Chinese customs has seized smuggled luxury auto parts valued at 1.67 billion yuan (253 million U.S. dollars), the customs office in south China's Guangdong Province said Thursday.
In a raid Wednesday, customs staff caught nine suspects in connection with the case, said an official with the office.
The gang, led by two people surnamed Zhu and Zhang, was found to have avoided paying tariffs since 2012 on accessories for luxury car brands Men's Nike Air VaporMax Plus Black , including Land Rover and Volvo, by listing them as ordinary low cost goods or personal delivery parcels.
The gang set up several outlets in the provincial capital Guangzhou where accessories were sold nationwide and had planned to open an online store, the official in charge of the case said.
Further investigation is underway.

ZAGREB, Sept. 20 (Xinhua) -- Croatian electric vehicle manufacturer Rimac Automobili has closed a 30-million-euro deal with China-based Camel Group Ltd., the Croatian company announced here on Tuesday evening.
It is the single largest foreign direct investment in a Croatian technology company Women's Nike VaporMax Moc Flyknit Triple Black , according to a statement from the company.
"This investment will help us further accelerate growth, introduce new products to the market and expand our global presence. Two key areas are building a new, state-of-the-art production facility for our technology business and launching our next-generation electric supercar which will be shown to the world next year", Mate Rimac, founder and CEO of the company said in the statement.
Out of the total investment, three million euros will be allocated to Rimac's sister company Greyp Bikes that produces high-performance electric bicycles.
Rimac Automobili was founded in 2009 Men's Nike Air VaporMax LACELESS Pure Platinum White , and just two years later, the company designed and manufactured the world's fastest accelerating electric vehicle, Concept One.
While the Croatian company sells electric high-performance vehicles under their own brand, these cars are just a showcase of the company's technological capacity. The main business is developing and producing advanced battery systems, powertrains, and other vehicle components for other companies.
"Our strategy is to move aggressively into the New Energy Vehicle Business -- providing advanced battery systems Men's Nike Air Vapormax 2018 Black , powertrains and other vehicle components to major commercial and passenger vehicle manufacturers in China. Rimac is a perfect match for us," Liu Changlai, CEO of Camel Group, the largest battery manufacturer in China, said in the statement.
He commented that his company is impressed by the fact that Rimac is developing and manufacturing all key vehicle systems in-house.
"We are excited to use our synergies to deliver world-class Electric Vehicle components and technologies to the market and help accelerate the transition to a fully-electric fleet," Liu said.

BUCHAREST, Aug. 21 (Xinhua) -- The fishing boat intercepted in the Romanian territorial waters of the Black Sea turned out to have 70 Syrian and Iraqi immigrants aboard, much more than the initial estimate, according to the latest information provided by the Coast Guard on Monday.
As many as 70 people were identified aboard the ship: 23 children, 12 women and 35 men, according to preliminary information obtained in the investigation soon after the boat was escorted to shore Men's Nike Air VaporMax Grey White , in Mangalia Port.
Two patrol boats of the Coast Guard were mobilized to stop the fishing boat suspected of carrying some 50 illegal immigrants on Sunday night through Monday, about 23 miles offshore of the Romanian coast, said earlier Alexandru Ion, spokesman for the coast guard.
The people safely landed in Mangalia Port and one of the women, pregnant, was transported to Mangalia Municipal Hospital for medical care.
